My “real job” for over 28 years has been as a Graphic Designer / Art Director. My experience lies mostly in print design but for 16 years I have worked in the retail merchandising display industry, creating POP out of various substrates for numerous fortune 500 companies including Samsung, Coca-Cola, Cadbury, Nestle, Walmart, SC Johnson, Cineplex, Home Depot and Labatt.
I can provide creative solutions for:
- brochures/marketing materials
- indoor/outdoor signage
- corporate presentations
- website design/build/content creation
- website hosting also available
This is by no means an exhaustive list of examples, so please drop me a line with your specific project needs.
I have always been passionate about photography. I finally got myself a pro full-frame camera so I could at least shoot my own products for this website! Since then, I have been traveling the globe, shooting landscapes, cityscapes, people and abstract objects.
I can shoot small products in my tabletop studio with lighting, or outdoors using natural light.
Please inquire with your photography needs.
Custom Leather Projects
From time to time, I create something new and different. Usually just for myself until I feel confident that it’s good enough for someone else. I am also often asked if I can recreate a piece I have made previously. This may not always be possible, depending on the availability of the elements involved in the piece. However, I may be able to recreate something similar so please ask if you so desire.
Some examples of original vs recreation are:
My Design Work
Georgian Bay Landscape
A long exposure shot one evening on a kayaking trip to Franklin Island on Georgian Bay, Ontario.
One of the many beautiful creatures I saw on my travels across Iceland. These little horses are so funny and friendly, just like the wonderful people of Iceland.
I shot this raging red sky as the sun dropped behind the Lacloche mountain range in Killarney, Ontario as I stood on West Fox Island on Georgian Bay.
Icelandic Moss Field
Like a scene from the Hobbit, these stunning fields of moss-covered lava can be found all around Iceland. Is there any wonder that Icelanders believe in elves?
My DJ friend Brad, just chillin’ out in my living room, waiting for his next closeup to be shot by my photographer friend.
One of my favourite places in London, England. Such a cool market – for both its architecture and amazing vintage finds.
Frozen Morning on Amherst Island
The coldest day I have ever stood outside with a camera in my hand. These huge shards of ice were crushed up on to the shore of Lake Ontario.
The powerful beauty of Vik, Iceland, with Dyrhólaey in the distance – one of the most surreal places. It felt like I was walking into a black and white photo.
The most delicious grapes I’ve ever tasted, right off the vine in Montepulciano, Italy.
Rocky Shore in the West Fjords
Another very early morning exploring Iceland and its many stunning shores.
On the barren south east shores of Iceland, where the melting glacier flows out to sea.
Leading to the basalt caves at Vik, Iceland, where a rock fell from the cliff and narrowly missed my head.
Custom Leather Projects
A lovely clutch purse I made for myself from an old skirt and a duffle bag. Read more about this piece in my blog.
Every year I display some of my pieces at the Toronto Pride Streetfair in the Boston Terrier Rescue Canada booth. I make a bunch of rainbow-embellished pieces that usually always sell out! I also create lots of funny doggie bandana and human t-shirt designs that we sell at the booth to raise funds. Click the pink link above for pics!
