I have been volunteering with Boston Terrier Rescue Canada for over 10 years now and have been the Vice President since 2013. We are a 100% unpaid, volunteer-run, registered Canadian charity and I am proud to be part of this amazing organization that rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes over 70 Boston Terriers and Boston Terrier mixes across Canada every year!
One of my favourite events for Boston Terrier Rescue Canada that I love volunteering for, is the Pride streetfair in Toronto every July. It’s such a fun weekend, meeting exciting people and raising lots of funds for the dogs in rescue’s care. I setup a small display of my cuffs and usually do quite well selling them. I always make a bunch of special ones for Pride that feature the Pride rainbow in some fashion. They usually sell out!
As always, I donate 20% of all my sales to Boston Terrier Rescue Canada.
Here I am with one of our awesome volunteers, Stephanie, who always signs up to work the booth on Pride weekend. I also design and print the doggie bandanas and human t-shirts you see hanging around the tent. They always make for tons of laughs with the patrons who come by the booth.
My little rescue dog, Fiona, modeling one of the bandanas 🙂
Fiona “helping” me get all the new shirts and hoodies that I designed and printed, ready to ship across Canada to our volunteer teams.
